Win a custom Savior Brand Co bag.
You may remember Savior Brand Co from our dapper pack give away.
At the time I thought they were just some hipsters making some amazingly fun leather stuff, for other hipsters. Turns out there is a little more to the story, but I’ll get into that later. First, the prize.
Max has offered up a custom made satchel / briefcase worth R2500 (about $300) to the winner of this prize. He will work with you at finalising a design with all the details you want and need in your bag, and as you can see from his last custom bag, Max isn’t exactly scared of details.
The competition is open to anyone anywhere in the world and shipping is included in the prize.
Right, so, how does one win this fabulous prize?
Well, that brings me to the story of how Savior Brand co is different.
Basically its all in the name, you see, this team are passionate about 2 things, making amazing leather goods and helping Orphans. Well, saving Orphans. You see a government will only provide a grant to an orphan or his foster home until he is a legal adult, which in South Africa is 18 years of age. After this, they’re out on their own.
Sure, we all know someone who gives to charities and helps others. But this is different, and this is the part of the story that I love. Savior Brand Co believe in helping the individual, rather completely change one persons life, than have a little impact on 10 000 people’s lives. And when you think about it, it makes a lot of sense.
This isn’t to say they only help one Orphan, they help as many as they can with the profits from Savior Brand Co. Right now they are looking after the rent, groceries and mentoring of 3 Orphans. Amongst these 3 is one super special kid.
Meet Lucky Lugogwana.
Lucky was orphaned just over 10 years ago when his mother died, he never knew his dad and spent time in 2 children’s homes until the end of last year when he completed matric (or graduated high school for our American readers). But like I said, this is one special kid he taught himself to play the piano/keyboard & the guitar by tone, he is the first tenor in the Kwazulu Natal Youth Choir, He is a Gold Level Ballroom dancer and of course an amazing soccer player.
His dream, is to become an Architect. And he’s been accepted at the Kwazulu Natal university. The piece of paper next to Lucky on the pic above is his first years tuition, a little over R32 000 (about $3650).
So Max has asked me to help him give away this prize, so they can raise the money for Lucky’s tuition. Basically what you’re buying is an entry, kinda like a raffle. They look like this.
I love that theyve called it ‘Lucky go happy’ its so awesome.
The higher your purchase the higher possibility you have of winning, but more so, the higher chance Lucky has of becoming an architect and building us a fabulous new mall filled with places where we can get fancy things.
The bigger raffles also come with discounts on Savior Brand merchandise and stuff at Hello Pretty.
You can click on the above raffles to go straight to Hello Pretty where they are being sold, or just click here for all the details and terms and conditions of the competition.
Savior Brand Co will also be giving away a whole bunch of smaller prizes along the way, they’re quite a generous bunch.
I really hope we get a ton of entries in this one the way we did the last, everyone can help, no matter what you can afford.
Okay. Stay fancy and be generous.
