full-lengthWhen you find the perfect pair of grey pants, your wardrobe is pretty pretty much complete.

Well, unless you only have grey pants, then, no. You’re gonna need to get some more stuff.

Grey pants, much like all neutrals go with pretty much anything, and these particular pair have come to my rescue more than once. Look, I know they’re just a pair of pants, but it can get pretty life or death at home when I cant find the right pants.

My favourite combo is grey and blue. It’s so corporate, its like the ultimate corporate uniform, so I like to find ways to take the beautiful ‘grey pants navy blazer’ combo and mess with it a little! Small things of course, details.

In this case, there were just different textures or patterns in every item, from the seersucker blazer to the woollen tie. The trick was allowing them all their individuality while making them still speak to each other. Really its like a 12 year olds birthday disco if you think about it. Seriously. Think about it.

So, lets look at the details then. Light blue in shirt to match light blue in tie, dark blue in tie to pull the focus away from the blazer, light blue’s in pocket square to bring your eye back across the chest and white lapel flower to lead your head back round the top. The brown wooden tie was a little cheeky wink to the belt, shoes and watch strap if you must know.
