There is nothing quite as dapper, as hand made.

Well, except maybe for handmade and rare.

I was lucky enough to be sent some rare handmade ties from the guys over at LVJ Haberdasher, Luke from LVJ thought “I might like them“. He was wrong, I loved them.

But let me tell you why.

I dont think i’ve ever quite owned ties of this quality before, they’re thick, and heavy and stiff and when you tie a knot in it, that knot means business. Luke and his family, (yep, it’s a family run business-how awesome) source the most amazing fabrics from all over the world to make their ties, but that’s not enough, they know that machines can make ties, but they choose to do it by hand. Like this.

The result, a hand crafted tie that will last you forever.

Now the ties are made in Calgary, Canada, but in his quest for the best, Luke chose a bow tie maker with 60 years experience in New York, who makes them by hand just like everything else.

The final thing I wanted to share with you guys is this double sided pocket square. I’ve never quite seen anything like this but I do think it’s a killer idea.

No. But you get what you pay for.

It’s no more than you would pay for a machine made tie with a designer label on the back. The only difference is you’ll end up with a hand crafted tie that you’re unlikely to see on anyone else.

If you’re looking to treat yourself, or just see what else LVJ have to offer, go here.

Okay. Stay fancy.
