Todays Wooster Wednesday isnt as much about Wooster the outfit, but rather Wooster the man. Been keeping this guy on the back burner a little, but today feels like the perfect time.

My favourite bit of advice?

“buy clothes that fit” We’re all guilty of this. Sometimes we want something so badly we make it seem perfect, when it isn’t. We all need to be a little stricter on ourselves.

Me included.

If there’s one man who’s style advice you should follow…it’s Mr Nick Wooster.

Okay. Stay Fancy.

What’s the coolest pocket square you’ve ever seen?

I’m telling you it’s this one.

After doing the bow tie a bow tie with no hands post recently I started going through the stuff that The Hill-side & Co has been up to. Apart from having some amazing mens accessories, they also have maybe the coolest pocket square I have ever seen in my life! There is nothing I love more than a piece of fashion with a story. Watch this clip, and get ready for serious pocket square envy.

That’s pretty awesome uh?

They have some other fun vids on there vimeo channel, worth checking out.

Okay. Stay fancy.

How do you stay fancy without sweating all day?

It’s a real thing.

As the weather starts heating up here on the tip of Africa I start finding it more difficult to wear a tie. A tie is a little too close to a mini mini scarf…and sometimes your neck just wants to see a little bit of sun too. The solution today, was the deep V Tee. This is one of my oldest and most favourite! In the end it became an exercise in colour blocking.

The details of this outfit are the following:

Grey V neck T-Shirt by Topman

Blazer from Zara (available in store now in South Africa)

Purple skinny chinos by Cotton On

Suede loafers from Zara

Okay. Stay Fancy.

This was the first of the most beautiful days here in Cape Town.

It was definitely T-shirt time.

And there is only 1 T-Shirt that sits at the top of my T-shirt pile. It’s this guy. It’s so old now it’s stretches for miles, it’s stained and has holes in it! Yessssss! Perfect! Don’t get me wrong, I have roughly 50 T-shirts (as you would imagine) in my closet, but Im obsessed with this Cheap monday skull Tee. I also decided to launch my yellow laces after seeing how great they looked on a pair of brown shoes after writing that stolen riches post. Add to that a little pocket square detailing, that matches absolutely nothing and I was happy with the first of my summer day outfits!

The details of this outfit are the following:

T-Shirt by Cheap Monday (available at ASOS)

Checked Blazer from Zara

Pocket square from ASOS (already sold out)

Jeans by Levis

Shoes from Zara

Laces by 1901

Okay. Stay Fancy.

What’s not to like about gingham?

Nothing I say.

Gingham is without a doubt my go to shirt pattern. It’s like a pattern that’s also a flat colour. It allows you to mix it with any other pattern given that there is some continuation of colour. Moral of the story, if you only but gingham shirts, you’ll be ok. And if you find a nice green one anywhere with button down collars let me know.

The details of this outfit are the following:

Black gingham shirt by Ben Sherman

Woolen bow tie from The Tie Bar

Anchor belt from Asos (Unfortunately sold out)

Jeans by Wrangler (Vegas fit available now at 36man)

Shoes from Zara

Okay. Stay Fancy.

So, this is one of my most prized possessions.

I received it as a gift a couple of years ago from a very special person.

The brand is called Ateliers Ruby and this particular helmet is the Le Pavillion St Germaine (as far as names go, you don’t get cooler) You may of seen it on my biker preppy post I did the other day. But this kind of item deserves it’s very own post.

It’s inspired by the daredevil helmets of a by gone era and is the brain child of Parisian designer Jerome Coste. Dont let it’s retro look fool you, it is modern technology to the endth degree with a level of craft and detail secon to none. The red interior is entirely nappa lambskin and there is no describing what it feels like on your head. Amazing just doesn’t cut it!

But you see they don’t just make simple black helmets. No they don’t, though in my opinion they could and they would still be as awesome. You see the helmets are designed as a functional accessory, and therefore come as seasonal collections. I know right! Amazing!

These are just a few from across different ranges and seasons, but they have dozens and dozens to choose from. If you don’t find one you like (unlikely as it may seem), just have one custom made. Yep either on the site or at there flagship store in Paris. I took a stab at designing this double sided guy below. It’s a whole new level of customisation with the most insane finishes and beautiful details. Wow.

One thing I neglected to mention, is of course the price. They don’t come cheap and you can get carried away with the customisation. Are they worth it? In my opinion, every last cent. If you can afford it!

Okay. Stay fancy.

I’m all about the giving.

Kinda.

Advice, shopping tips..and now this sweet sweet bow tie from ASOS (already sold out).

You can win it for you or your man, and we’ll ship it to the winner anywhere in the world. (but we’ll expect a photo of you wearing it at some stage ; )

I’ve made the entry mechanism for this one super easy. We’ve finally got the Facebook page populated and looking really nice. Go take a look at it over here, then while you’re there, just tag yourself in the bow tie pic.

Boom. You’re entered into the draw.

Feeling lucky?

Awesome!

Not feeling so lucky? Okay, then get a bonus entry simply by liking the page.

Yesssss!

Kay. Good luck and of course, stay fancy.
